Benjamin Giardullo is a food systems consultant and entrepreneur. He is the principal of Hudson Valley Market LLC and the co-founder and co-CEO of BBG Ventures LLC, currently building it’s flagship retail and manufacturing project in Kingston, NY. In recent years Ben has played an instrumental role in the successful growth of Hudson Valley Harvest, a distributor of meats, produce, and dry goods for approximately 100 farms in NY, and has consulted for Hawthorne Valley Farm, The Doe Fund, Brooklyn Bouillon, Field Goods, Good Eggs, and Empire Cider Company, among others. He is a member of the Agriculture Advisory Board for US Congressman Maloney, and the Agricultural Working Group for US Senator Gillibrand. He is also a co-founder of the Beacon Food Cooperative, a buyer’s club with 670 members, and serves as the president of the board of directors for Common Ground Farm, a 10 acre non-profit farm focused on food access, food justice, and education programs in Beacon, NY. Previously, he held pivotal leadership positions in the global expansion of American Apparel, where he was responsible for growing the company’s most profitable region to $80M revenue, leading a team of 750 employees, and developing the company’s global operations and inventory systems.
